At 1st Werribee, Scouts is for young people, aged from 11 years, to enjoy learning life skills and Scouting values in a safe, fun and youth-driven environment. Scouts transition to the Venturer Scout Section before turning 15 years of age. Scouts are experiencing big changes, exploring their changing sense of self, focusing more on peer networks, transitioning from Primary to Secondary school, finding new ways to express themselves, and exploring and forming their identity. As members work their way through the higher age groups on the Scouting pathway, they’re gradually given more responsibility for themselves and others. The activities and badges become more challenging as well. Camping for Scouts can mean a new level of self-sufficiency, and adventures can demand a greater level of risk management.

Unit Council is the leadership structure of the Scout Unit. Unit Council consists of a Unit Leader (optional), Patrol Leaders, Assistant Patrol Leaders, and Adult Leaders, but the program is mostly Youth Leading, Adult Supporting.

1st Werribee Scouts meet on Wednesday (7:00 pm - 9:00 pm) at 1st Werribee Scout Hall.

The motto of the Scout Section is Explore the Unknown.
